INTRODUCTION

Laser Spectroscopy Laboratory of Shanxi University is the academic research institution of College of Physical Electronics Engineering and at the same time is part of State Key Laboratory of quantum optics and Quantum optics devices. Our main research direction are ultracold atomic and molecular physics, laser physics and single-molecule spectroscopy and applications.
We have engaged in the researches about the interactions of the laser and atoms/molecules, high-resolution laser spectroscopy and quantum optics. We did our best to foster a dynamic and sta...

The research of the molecular cooling and the non-linear optical effect of the ultra-cold molecules play an important role in the study of quantum information, molecular physics and molecular chemistry. Currently, we have built a brand new setup that aims at the preparation of Cs Quantum gas ranging in the sub-μK, with which we will explore the production of ultracold ground state molecules, molecular BEC and the related quantum storage & quantum information reseaches.

Our group main focuses on single molecular optical dynamic between optics and single molecule interactions, the electronic coherence, time-resolved spectroscopy and single pulse Mandel parameter of single molecule. Those experiments can provide theoretical basis and experimental data for quantum comuputation and quantum information processing by using single molecule. Quantum key system based on single photon source, completeing the quantum key distribution by single molecule polarization or phase modulation and demodulation, is also of our interest.

It has been roughly three decades since laser cooling techniques produced ultracold atoms, leading to rapid advances in a wide array of fields. Until recently, laser cooling had not been extended to molecules because of their complex internal structure, which precludes the realization of a true optical cycling transition. However, this complexity makes molecules potentially useful for a wide range of applications. For example, heteronuclear molecules possess permanent electric dipole moments that lead to long-range, tunable, anisotropic dipole–dipole interactions.
